Chateau Leoville Barton 2016 75cl

£149.95 GBP

Tasting Note: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Leoville Barton delivers a superstar nose of crme de cassis, plum preserves and blueberry compote with suggestions of fragrant earth, unsmoked cigars, licorice and cedar chest. Medium to full-bodied, rich and seductive with firm yet velvety tannins, it has a decadently rich finish. 95 points Wine Advocate

Producer: "The history of Château Léoville Barton began in 1722, when Irishman Thomas Barton moved from Ireland to the Bordeaux region, where he established a successful trading company. His grandson bought Château Langoa and part of the Léoville estate in 1826. The late Anthony Barton lived in the beautiful 18th century Château Langoa and makes two wines, Château Léoville Barton and Château Langoa-Barton.
