Loire Valley

The Loire - home to Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and Melon de Bourgogne. Following the Loire river from its central French heartland downstream to the Atlantic, you have a smorgasbord of delicious white wines including Sancerre, Pouilly Fume and Muscadet but there are many other appellations and styles of wine from crisp dry sparkling through to rich, sweet wines. And lets not forget the reds either, made from Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and Gamay, they provide lovely lighter reds that you should really try.
