Chateau Angludet 2020 75cl

£44.95 GBP

Tasting Note

"The 2020 Château Angludet is brisk and precise on the nose of blackberry and bilberry fruit, touches of iodine and pressed flowers coming through with time; there’s wonderful focus and energy here. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. A saline and marine-influenced Margaux, well balanced with a little grittiness toward the finish. Yet overall, this classically styled Angludet has commendable breeding and should give 20 years of drinking pleasure." Neal Martin, Vinous

Producer

Angludet is one of the oldest properties in the Médoc. It owes its name to the knight Bertrand of Angludet who built his home there in the 12th century. The vine was probably introduced at the beginning of the 17th century during the extension of the Gironde vineyard on the Medoc peninsula.

In 1961 Peter and Diana Sichel, wine merchants, fell in love with Angludet and decided to settle there to live there and to realize their dream: to produce a great wine. Today it is their children and grandchildren who live on the property and strive to promote Angludet to lovers of great wines around the world.
