Agostino Pavia & Figli Casareggio Barbera d'Asti 2023 75cl

£14.95 GBP

Tasting Note

This Barbera has long been a favourite of mine. Aged partly in stainless steel it is a lovely fruit forward style of wine, loads of red fruit and subtle herbs.

Producer

Pino (Giuseppe) and Mauro Pavia have 10 hectares of land on clay soil, with vine age between 15 and 50 years old. The aim of the winery has always been to convey the goodness of Barbera d'Asti and to create a strong identity with the land in which the vines are grown.

The journey began in the 1980s, when Giuseppe and Mauro Pavia selected the vineyards in the most suitable positions for the cultivation of Barbera vines, in order to create a wine that tasted truly of the terroir. Through their selection and refinement, they are now able to offer four types of Barbera d'Asti on the market, each being a different interpretation of a unique and prestigious appellation.

Over the years, they have obtained recognition and appreciation having participated in numerous prestigious fairs, tastings and events.
