Producer

Founded during the late 1990s by Leonardo Baccarelli, the Roccafiore project was started with a vision to produce wines only from native grapes with an organic and sustainable approach. Located in Todi, Umbria, the valley extends from Perugia to Terni in an area known as the green heart of Italy. The estate has been landscaped to enhance the estate’s diverse biodiversity, with a reforestation project, which aims to help combat climate change. Sustainability is at the heart of the Roccafiore project, with lightweight bottles, biofuels being used for agricultural equipment and a reduction of water consumption. Leonardo’s son Luca has joined the family business, and together with winemaker Cristian Giorgioni and oenologist Alessandro Biancolin, they focus on producing terroir-driven, mineral wines from their estate vines. The vineyard covers 15 hectares of undulating hills surrounded by olive groves, and it is certified by VIVA for sustainable agriculture.
