Silver Oak Cellars
CALIFORNIA, USA
Established in 1972 by Ray Duncan and Justin Meyer. Meyer sold his share to Ray in 2001, a year before he passed away, and today Silver Oak remains in the hands of the late Ray's son, David, and brother Tim.
They have two wineries, one in the Napa and one in Alexander and age their wines exclusively in American oak barrels, for the reason that they believe American wine gives less oak tannin to the wines.
Their wines are critically acclaimed, sought after and an essential part of American winemaking history.
