Olivier Coste Rose 2020 75cl
Tasting Note
Floral with pears and melon on the nose and then a dry, fresh palate with loads of fruit coming through on the finish. Such a pretty Languedoc wine.
Producer
Olivier Coste's family first founded the wine estate in 1701 in Pezenas and Olivier is now the 12th generation to work on it. Since his childhood, this was his favourite place to play, the vineyards and the wine cellar at DOmain Montrose, and with his upbringing, he developed a great attachment to the Languedoc's terroir and landscape which has developed into his passion towards its wines.
The estate shows a great committment to respecting th environment so that future generations can continue to enjoy this area. They work to make their wines carbon neutral, offsetting 100% of carbon emissions generated by financing green projects and they farm sustainably and organically, for example, using mechanical tools rather than chemical herbicides to weed. They also ensure to contribute to biodiversity preservation by continuously planting trees and preserving and maintaining the wilderness, and finally they also use a lightweight, eco-friendly glass, which requires much less energy, to limit the impact on the planet.
