Chateau La Tour de By 2016 75cl

Tasting Note

"A classic of this wine - reminds me a lot of the 2000 vintage, which is what turned me on to this producer. A superb wine for ageing in the mid to long term. Dark, earthy with liquorice coming out. Lots of jammy cassis and a silky, long tannin"

Producer

This great property is now run by two of the late Marc Pagès’s grandsons, Frédéric Le Clerc (ex Ecole Polytechnique) and Benjamin Richer des Forges. They are very capable. A further 12 hectares of superb land were purchased to add to the 55 hectares. The average age of the vines is well over 40 years. A new impressive temperature controlled storage cellar has also been built.
