Bruno Sourdais Chinon Les Clos 2009 75cl

£24.95 GBP

Tasting Note

With a decade and a half of ageing, this is a super wine that still has bright fruit, but also more mature notes. A stellar wine.

Producer

Le Logis de la Bouchardière dates from 1850. The current incumbent is Bruno Sourdais who represents the 6th generation on the property. Bruno joined his late father, Serge, in 1990, taking full control from the 2008 vintage. Three-quarters of the domaines 55 hectares are located on the slopes and plateau above the commune of Cravant. Les Cornuelles Vieilles Vignes is from 2.5 hectares on a south-facing slope. The vines here were planted in two separate stages. The youngest were established by Bruno's grandfather over 60 years ago, with the oldest vines well-over 100 years old.
